Abortion Abortion has been a topic of discussion for decades, whether or not It should be legal. I, myself feel that It should be legal, for various reasons. My mall reason Is that, I have had one before and I feel that no one should Intervene on a woman’s personal decision on bringing forth a child in the world. Society plays its part in many of things but I honestly believe this is one topic they should let go because what a woman does to her body is that woman’s decision. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and the American Medical Association (AMA) stated in their article rife filed on December 19, 201 3 in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in support of Planned Parenthood’s Challenge to Texas House Bill (HUB) (AMA, 2013).
According to Randy “Since the Supreme Court’s sweeping Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973 overturned hundreds of laws in states across the country more than 55 million unborn children have lost their lives to abortion. “(Haltered, 2014) Another fact Randy mentioned is “when we tell one another that abortion is okay, we reinforce the idea that human lives are disposable, that we can throw away anything or anyone that inconveniences us. ” (Haltered, 2014)
